Finally!

Yep! They're finally done. It took me almost a month and a half to knit my first pair of socks.

I had a bit of trouble with them and had to rip out a large chunk due to dropped stitches. Maybe because I chose a beautiful but dark color to work with? I don't know.

All I really care about is that they're done, they actually fit and they're cozy, warm and soft! I'm going to knit another pair of socks while everything is fresh in my mind, but for now...I think I'll put my feet up for a bit!

  1. There's a metaphor for life in there somewhere. The beauty of the color vs. the beauty of the stitching. The beauty of the work vs. the beauty of the finished product. In one hundred years, numbers of women will have stitched countless numbers of socks... but only this pair exists here and now (with Daysha's chatter knitted into them, no less.)
