Finally!

Yep! They're finally done. It took me almost a month and a half to knit my first pair of socks.

I had a bit of trouble with them and had to rip out a large chunk due to dropped stitches. Maybe because I chose a beautiful but dark color to work with? I don't know.

All I really care about is that they're done, they actually fit and they're cozy, warm and soft! I'm going to knit another pair of socks while everything is fresh in my mind, but for now...I think I'll put my feet up for a bit!

Socks

I really don't care for socks. I prefer flip flops. OK, I love flip flops and probably wouldn't wear anything else if I didn't have to. But, since moving to the Pacific Northwest from Southern California, I have begun to...well, need socks. I just took up knitting and absolutely love it, so I decided to learn to knit socks.

So I got me this nice ball of rich, forest green Ultra Alpaca Fine yarn by Berroco. It's so soft with deep undertones like the trees outside. And here's where I'm at so far...

...halfway done with the cuff.
