I took Michelle Ward's challenge...
and came up with this:
This is the first challenge that I've participated in and I got so into it and had so much fun that I forgot to take pictures of the process! It was fun to simply tear the papers and then play with composition. I finished my pages with masks, stamps, and acrylic paint and Distress Ink. Then I added journaling and a quote. Wonderful challenge. Thanks Michelle!
A beautiful quotation with the dreamiest of backgrounds.

ReplyDeletebeautiful spread! the th masks add great interest.
ReplyDeleteLovely pages Kari. I know what you mean about getting carried away in the moment and forgetting to take process photos. Really liking the mask on the left with the paper colours showing through.
ReplyDeleteLove the strips and those Tim Holtz masks are put to great use here too.
ReplyDeleteNice job, Crusader !
Love the subtle colors on your pages....welcome to the Street Team!
ReplyDeleteVery nice pages - love how your strips look and the masks really look great on these pages.
ReplyDeleteHi there - it's nice to meet you through the Crusades. Are those rubber stamps down the right hand side and top left? Whatever they are - they're great images. I really like the soft colours you have achieved with the hints of warmer pinks lifting it.
ReplyDeleteThe soft color palette is beautiful and I like the quote. Also like the images you've used at the sides.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely, love the use of the masks too
ReplyDeletereally like these journal pages..and thanks for popping over to my blog too
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely background. It feels like a breeze is coming through the curtains - as opposed to the hot stillness we have here now. The masks really add a balance to the pages.
ReplyDeleteKari, your pages are wonderful - the strips work so well. (It was my first crusade too.)
ReplyDeleteHello Kari,
ReplyDeletenice page : the paint unifies your whole page, but you can still see very good the ripped strips of paper.
Your placement of the gearmasks pulls your attention to your journaling too.
greetings from belgium

ReplyDeleteVery nice pages with stark images and text. I went browsing through your blog: I love your knitting, but it is now too hot for that, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteVery nice work, loved the gears against the soft background. I went and checked out your knitting and that was a gorgeous sweater that you made.
ReplyDeleteso glad you joined in. Love your page.
